Privacy Policy – Application and definitions
Please note that, as things stand, you accept the use of cookies and the practices described in this Privacy Policy, and you consent to our processing your information.
Updated – October 2025
1 – Our commitment to privacy
In order to protect the privacy of its customers and users, Groupe Beaucage pays particular attention to the control and management of the data shared on its website for commercial or statistical purposes. It is important that you know that our company is committed to rigorously respecting the confidentiality of the personal and non-personal information it collects, in accordance with this Privacy Policy (hereinafter the “Policy”).
2 – Application of the Privacy Policy
The Policy sets out how Groupe Beaucage collects, uses and protects the information provided voluntarily by the users of its website and the information transmitted automatically by their server. This Policy applies to the entire website and to the products and services offered by Groupe Beaucage.
The Policy also explains how to review or update your personal information and how to contact Groupe Beaucage with any question, suggestion or comment. At any time, Groupe Beaucage reserves the right to modify its Policy, without notice. We recommend that you read our Policy carefully and consult it regularly. If we modify this Policy in a way that has a significant impact on your privacy rights, you will be informed.
3 – Acceptance of our Privacy Policy
By using this website or by purchasing a product online, Groupe Beaucage considers that you accept the practices described in this Policy and that you consent to our processing your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
4 – Collection of information
We collect the personal information that is necessary for the purposes described below. We may collect this information directly from you or from our service providers or our distributors. When you interact with the Groupe Beaucage website or other digital features, we may collect data about you automatically.
Accordingly, two types of information are collected on our website.
For the purposes of this Policy, the term “personal information” refers to information that makes it possible to identify an individual.
- a) Personal information:
Accordingly, the personal information we collect may include:
- contact details: your full name, your email address, your telephone number and your mailing address;
- demographic information: information about your household and your purchasing habits;
- information about your internal accounts: your usernames and passwords;
- information about your orders: information relating to purchases of vehicles, parts, accessories or other products or services that you have made;
- financial information: the information that our third-party financial service providers or our distributors communicate to us, with your consent, including information on the status of your account, the amount being financed, the amount of your monthly payments, the total balance of the financing and its due date;
- information about a purchase or a lease: when you buy or lease a vehicle, the distributor may collect information about you, including your contact details and the information on your credit application, if any (including financial information, for example information about your assets and liabilities), which it will communicate to Groupe Beaucage and, in the case of a vehicle pre-order, a copy of your government-issued identification;
- interactions with our call centre: the information provided in the course of your communications with our call centre, including call recordings, which we use for quality assurance purposes;
- comments and requests for information: the information you provide when you contact us, share your comments, file a complaint or submit a request for information;
- job application files: if you apply for a job with us, we may collect information about your education, your work history and your skills, as well as the results of criminal record or reference checks, where applicable.
Please note that this list is not exhaustive and may change, without notice.
Event data recorders (“EDRs”): your vehicle may be equipped with an EDR, a device that records information about your vehicle and its occupants before and during certain events, such as a collision. This data allows us to understand how a given event occurred and may include data such as vehicle speed, seat belt use and airbag deployment. Although the EDR does not record personal information such as name or age, the data it records could be combined with personal information as part of investigations carried out by law enforcement authorities, insurance companies, Groupe Beaucage, regulatory bodies, government representatives or any other interested party. To access the data recorded by an EDR, special equipment and access to it are required.
The collection of your personal information may be subject to any other terms communicated to you at the time you enter into any transaction.
We will use your personal information only in accordance with this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise indicated by applicable law. We take steps to ensure that the personal information we collect about you is relevant and used for limited purposes.
- b) Non-personal information
The term “non-personal information” refers to anonymous information that is usually recorded by Internet servers, such as the Internet Protocol address (IP address), the date and time of access, as well as the operating system and the browser used by the Internet user. Demographic statistics about our visitors (age group, country, language of correspondence, etc.) and their browsing habits (pages viewed, number of visits, length of visit, etc.) are also considered non-personal information. Groupe Beaucage collects such information mainly through cookies.
Cookies are small data files that the browser installs on an Internet user’s computer hard drive during their first visit to a website. You can refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting in your browser. However, if you select this setting, you may not be able to access certain portions of our website.
Approximate location: when you send us a request through a form on the website, we attach the approximate city and region deduced from your Internet connection (sometimes the first characters of the postal code), so that we know which regions our requests come from. It never changes which dealership replies to you: you are the one who chooses it. We receive nothing more precise: neither your address nor your exact position.
5 – Use of the information collected
- a) Personal information
The contact details voluntarily provided by the users of the website may be used for the following reasons:
- to send you information about our company’s products and services;
- to get in touch with you;
- to understand your needs;
- to obtain your level of satisfaction through a survey.
We may also share your personal information with our distributors, the members of our group, the manufacturer, certain third-party products and services, such as allowing you to link your mobile phone to your vehicle, and our service providers. Groupe Beaucage has entered into agreements with its service providers to ensure that they use your personal information only to the extent necessary to provide services to us or to you.
Groupe Beaucage exercises no control over these third-party products and services and assumes no responsibility for the personal information protection practices used by these third parties or for the terms under which they offer these products and services. We recommend that you read the privacy policies and the terms of use of these third parties before using their services.
- b) Non-personal information (Cookies)
Your choices: you can accept or refuse, at any time, the audience measurement and advertising cookies. The cookies that are essential to the operation of the website remain active.
The use of cookies allows Groupe Beaucage to compile statistics used to analyze the traffic on its website. Our company uses the Google Analytics audience analysis tool to better understand user behaviour on the website. Groupe Beaucage may use this data to improve the structure of its website. In addition, Google Analytics makes it possible to build the profile of current or potential customers, to use remarketing and to produce reports that provide demographic statistics and the interests of the users of its website, and to promote its products and services online, so as to improve its offering of products and services.
By using these services, Groupe Beaucage authorizes Google Analytics to collect, through the proprietary Google Analytics cookie and the third-party DoubleClick cookie, data on users’ browsing habits and on the traffic on our website. Groupe Beaucage uses this information to deliver targeted ads created on the basis of the data collected, when users visit its site. In addition, third-party providers, including Google, may display Groupe Beaucage’s ads on external websites. Indeed, when Internet users visit our website, the remarketing service allows this third party to display advertisements for our products and services on other websites they visit.
The information provided by cookies is then used to show Internet users relevant ads related to our company. The statistics on the interests of the users of our website are, for their part, used to better target our online advertising and to build a better picture of our customers and their needs.
To collect anonymous information and produce statistical reports, Google Analytics may use cookies, but without identifying you personally. Any user can enable or disable the use of cookies by Google. To do so, go to the following address: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/61416?hl=en. You can also opt out of the delivery of ads targeted by interests or demographic data on Google by consulting the Ads Settings manager. When you turn off this setting, ads are not blocked. They still appear, but they are generally no longer related to your interests, your demographic data or the sites you have visited.
6 – Remarketing policy
On our website, Groupe Beaucage uses the remarketing, re-engagement or similar audiences feature for its online advertising campaigns. Google AdWords Remarketing makes it possible to target the people who visit our affiliated websites in order to display ads on the other sites they visit. Google (and other similar third parties, if you use them) will display ads on the websites you have visited by using cookies. You can opt out of or manage your Google remarketing settings by going to the following page: https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated

In addition, we limit access to your personal information to our employees and third parties who need to know it in the course of their work. They are required to process your personal information only in accordance with our instructions and are subject to a duty of confidentiality. Unfortunately, no data transmission system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Any transmission you provide is at your own risk. Once your information is received, Groupe Beaucage will apply security practices to prevent unauthorized access, use and/or disclosure. If you have reason to believe that your communication with us is no longer secure and/or if you think that the security of any account you may have with us has been compromised, please notify us immediately by contacting us at 819-566-9034.
10 – Links to other websites
When a user clicks on a link that takes them to a website that does not belong to us, it is their responsibility to check the privacy policy and the cookie policy applicable to the website in question. This Policy applies only to our website and we are not responsible for the content of third-party websites.

Upon receipt of your request, we will reply to you within the next 30 days, as required by law. If you subsequently wish to have some or all of your personal information deleted from our database, you may make that request to us, it being understood, however, that this could affect our ability to provide you with the information, products or services you may subsequently request from us.
