QX60: seven seats, the heart of the lineup
The QX60 is the model that sells in the greatest volume: a mid-size SUV with three rows and seven seats, finished to a luxury-brand standard. It competes with an Acura MDX or a Lexus TX.
Under the hood, a technical curiosity. The engine is a 2.0 L four-cylinder VC-Turbo, for “variable compression”: it physically changes the stroke of its pistons while driving, and so its compression ratio, high when you cruise gently and low when you press hard. It makes up to 268 hp and 286 lb-ft, with a nine-speed transmission and Intelligent all-wheel drive as standard.
Many people still look for a V6 under the QX60’s hood. There isn’t one anymore. In exchange, Natural Resources Canada rates the 2026 QX60 all-wheel drive at 10.9 L/100 km in the city, 8.7 on the highway and 9.9 combined, against 13.8 combined for the QX80, a difference you pay every week. Note that INFINITI specifies that the QX60 requires premium gas.
For work, it tows up to 6,000 lb when properly equipped, enough for a light camper or a pontoon boat. Three trims are offered in Canada: LUXE, SPORT and AUTOGRAPH.
2027 QX65: the new one, and what is still to be confirmed
The QX65 is the brand’s newest model, and it calls for caution: it is a 2027 model year that has only just arrived in Canada. Here is what is official, and what is not yet.
What INFINITI Canada confirms. The QX65 is a mid-size SUV with two rows and five seats, with a fastback shape inspired by the old FX. It carries over the 2.0 L VC-Turbo with 268 hp and 286 lb-ft, the nine-speed transmission, standard paddle shifters and Intelligent all-wheel drive. Three trims are announced, LUXE, SPORT and AUTOGRAPH, the last of which can receive a technology package that adds the 3D around-view monitor with rotation and the ProPILOT Assist 2.1 system. INFINITI announced its arrival at Canadian retailers in early summer 2026.
What is not yet available. Natural Resources Canada has not published a fuel consumption rating for the QX65: the open ratings file stops at the 2026 model year. We therefore cannot give its official consumption, and we will not estimate it from the QX60’s: same engine does not mean same rating. For real availability, you have to call: it changes from one week to the next on a model that has just come out.
The real trade-off. The QX65 and the QX60 share their mechanics and start at the same price, $70,487 (as of September 23, 2026). The question is neither power nor budget: it is two rows or three. If you don’t need the third, the QX65 offers the same thing in a sleeker shape.
QX80: the big one, and its particular bill
The QX80 plays in another category: a full-size three-row SUV, up to eight passengers, built to tow. Its engine is a 3.5 L twin-turbo V6 making up to 450 hp and 516 lb-ft, and its towing reaches 8,500 lb with an electric trailer brake controller.
The electronic air suspension is standard, as are the heated and ventilated seats in the first two rows. Three trims: LUXE, SPORT and AUTOGRAPH. The flip side is in the Natural Resources Canada figures: 15.0 L/100 km in the city, 12.3 on the highway, 13.8 combined.
A point nobody will explain to you in an ad. The QX80’s displayed price includes a component the other two models don’t have: the federal tax on select luxury items. It applies to new vehicles worth more than $100,000, and it equals the lesser of 10% of the total value or 20% of the portion above $100,000. On the entry trim, that comes to about $2,107 included in the displayed $112,644 (as of September 23, 2026). It is not an amount the dealership adds: it is a federal tax, and it climbs as you move up in trim. It is also the reason the price gap between the QX80 LUXE and the QX80 AUTOGRAPH is larger than the gap between their suggested retail prices.
What happened to the QX50 and the QX55
If you are looking for a new QX50 or QX55, here is the clear answer: 2025 was their last model year. INFINITI has confirmed their withdrawal, and the QX65 is the model that takes their place in the lineup. They no longer appear in the new-vehicle catalogue at INFINITI de Sherbrooke.
The QX55 was a QX50 with a fastback roof, exactly the recipe the QX65 takes up again, one notch higher in the lineup: that is why a single model replaces two. For reference, Natural Resources Canada rated the 2025 QX50 all-wheel drive at 9.7 L/100 km combined and the QX55 at 9.4.
In practical terms, if the compact size is what interested you, two paths remain open. The first: a used QX50 or QX55, which you can find at Occasion Beaucage. The second: move up to the QX65, which is bigger and more expensive, but is the designated successor. There is no third option in the new lineup: INFINITI no longer offers a compact SUV.
The INFINITI warranty, without rounding
INFINITI Canada publishes two durations, and it is worth telling them apart.
| Coverage | Duration |
|---|---|
| Basic coverage | 48 months or 100,000 km, whichever comes first |
| Powertrain | 6 years or 110,000 km, whichever comes first |
The basic coverage takes care of the great majority of parts; the powertrain (engine, transmission, drive components) is covered longer. Batteries and tires are subject to special conditions, and scheduled maintenance is not covered by a basic warranty. The booklet supplied with the vehicle is the authority and varies by model year: it is the document to ask for before you sign.

Frequently asked questions
Are these prices still current?
They were checked at INFINITI de Sherbrooke on and rounded to the dollar. Prices are set by the manufacturer and may change without notice. The page for the QX60, the QX65 and the QX80 carries the current amount.
Why do the QX60 and the QX65 cost the same?
Because they share their mechanics and their entry-level suggested retail prices are identical. They are two bodies on a common platform: three rows and seven seats for the QX60, two rows and five seats for the QX65. The choice comes down to the third row, not the budget.
Can you still buy a new QX50 or QX55?
No. The 2025 model year was the last for both models, and they no longer appear in the new-vehicle catalogue at INFINITI de Sherbrooke. The 2027 QX65 is their successor in the lineup. Used, both models remain available on the market.
Why does the QX80 cost so much more than the QX60?
Three reasons add up: a full-size footprint, a 450 hp twin-turbo V6 instead of a four-cylinder, and the federal tax on select luxury items, which applies to vehicles over $100,000 and is included in the displayed price. On the entry trim, that tax represents about $2,107 of the amount (as of September 23, 2026).
Is the 2027 QX65 available at INFINITI de Sherbrooke?
It is in the dealership’s new-vehicle catalogue with its four configurations and prices. Real availability (in stock, in transit or on order) changes from week to week on a model that has just arrived: the only reliable answer comes from the dealership itself.
What is the difference between INFINITI and Nissan?
INFINITI is Nissan’s luxury division, the way Lexus is for Toyota or Acura for Honda. The two brands share technical foundations, but INFINITI aims for a higher level of finish, sound insulation and equipment. Groupe Beaucage sells both: Nissan in five cities, INFINITI in Sherbrooke only.
